Cassie Masone, Vice President of Selective’s Flood Insurance unit is considered an authority on the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) within the flood insurance industry. Cassie has helped to solidify Selective’s position as the 3rd largest WYO (Write Your Own) insurance carrier in the country and has guided the company’s industry-leading service model to ensure Selective’s competitive edge and grow market share. For the last decade, Cassie has lent her expertise to FEMA to address program issues and recommend strategies to help improve and grow the NFIP. Cassie often partners with a number of flood savvy insurance agencies to help support them in their efforts to raise awareness about the importance of flood insurance through training, developing marketing plans, as well as providing agents with the right tools.

Cassie sits on the Institutes for Business and Home Safety (IBHS) Committee that works directly with FEMA on WYO specific topics. She is also a member of FIPNC (Flood Insurance Producers National Committee) to provide advice and counsel on all issues related to producers’ involvement that has proven beneficial to the Federal Insurance Administration (FIA), the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP), the policyholders and the producer force.
Cassie is often featured for her flood insurance expertise in articles for the Big I and Independent Agent magazine, and provides expert commentary for news outlets including the Houston Chronicle among others.
