Our non profit organization had been having some difficulty with receiving invoices and getting payment made through our process in a timely fashion, resulting in cancellation notices. While I wouldn’t say that the problem was solved, the representative that I spoke with gave me helpful suggestions for being able to find our current invoice online to help expedite the process. We’re a non profit organization without online payment capability and our invoices are processed through a foundation with grant requests. While I realize the world had gone digital, there is still a segment of the population that is not able to accommodate the technology. I also find it puzzling that we receive our actual policy in a timely fashion, yet the invoice comes with barely two weeks to get payment processed. The blame is laid on the postal service but it has been that way for years now, so I’m not sure that I hold faith in that answer. In speaking with the representative, I found that we are not the only entity having the same problem.

I was trying to produce a COI. You want us to produce our own COIs without the need to involve you paid staff. However, nowhere on you site could I find a link to self-produce a COI, nothwithstanding the fact that you have sent me eails saying that I could easily produce a COI. When I tried to get help from your chat person, I was asked to provide information that I had already provided just to get into my account. The whole process was superflously cumbersome and frustrating. I ended up using your paid staff to produce my needed COI - something neither you nor I wanted. Given all of that, my satisfaction rating was gernerous.

While the woman was very nice on the phone she said she could not see my auto insurance on her end only my business insurance. She suggested I call my agent. My agent said it was a glitch on your end and that I do have auto insurance with you. I’m very confused! I received a letter informing us about our renewal of our Commercial Package Policy S 3204222. The letter stated that we are on a 10 month payment plan and we have the option to change it to a 12 month pay plan. If we wanted to make a change the letter instructed us to email the change request to [email protected]. I sent an email on 6/20/23 requesting a change to the 12 month pay plan. I never received a reply to our request. On 8/09/23 I sent the request again to [email protected] and [email protected]. As of 9/13/23 I have not received a reply.

The rep I had the "pleasure" of dealing with botched the checking account numbers for a bill payment. Later, I received the obligatory late notices.Attempted to again communicate with other reps to take care of the matter, and had to make 4 consecutive calls, getting cut off/hung up on after 12 minutes per call. 4th call finally resolved the "problem" after I became fairly " salty". I've stopped doing business with companies who add a charge for paying with a credit card. It's annoying and companies who incur costs of doing business need to factor costs of doing business into their product pricing. Customers pay using credit cards for reasons and if you think they don't care, you aren't listening. The audit itself was not the issue. It is pretty straight forward a process and our auditor was professional, fast and efficient. However the use of the Audit information for the 2023-2024 policy was beyond dissatisfying. We painstakingly go over our numbers prior to the policy renewal period to make sure we are providing the most accurate and up to date information in anticipation of the following years scope of work. IF any changes occur throughout the year we are well versed in re-endorsing the policy to avoid such a large premium payment to be taken out at the end of the year. That is the information on which the policy is initially endorsed. However after Audit Selective then re-endorsed the policy based on outdated information. This is not nor should it every be a good policy specifically in the Construction Industry which is ever changing from day to day. One year we could have multiple large projects which are high on the carpentry side but then do the majority of our work the next year in Concrete on a much larger scale. It makes no sense that you would take previous year information to determine the policy when you are basing a premium change on outdated scopes of work.

My audit experience has been a disaster for the past three years. I cringe each year at audit time because I know it's going to be hours of added work for me and my agent. Each year the auditor moves us into a different classification code for workman's comp and then it takes weeks, (sometimes months), to get it resolved. In the meantime, we are paying increased premiums while the error gets resolved. This year I even added a note for the auditor in the questionnaire so we didn't have this disaster happen again but to no avail because it happened again. It's so frustrating to have to go through this year after year. As you can tell, I'm very upset with the entire process.
